Installing components 

Homeowners must decide where to locate a monitoring setup. Then, they should install the sounder first and mount exterior alarms. It is essential to drill holes through the wall and install wires. Individuals must also mount a metal box to protect sounders from outside weather. These boxes also contain a side bracket to active or reset with a key. 

Most kits also contain a mounting backplate, so use toggle bolts or fasteners to position sounders. Next, people should install doors and switches on the window frame. They can also include fire sensors in entry-detection switches. These sensors provide alerts when temperatures reach the limit. 

Now it is time to install battery circuits. 6-volt lantern-type cells are an ideal type of battery. These cells are either hidden in a closet or cabinets. Use insulation wires for connecting batteries to the circuit. Solderless connectors are also essential to close all entry-detection switches.

Placing sensors on exterior spaces is essential to detect intruders even before they reach inside the house. Most burglars choose to run when they hear a siren to avoid getting caught. Hence, start with a perimeter and fix jambs. 

Motion sensors 

These are backup protection to protect interiors. Use them sparingly and follow placement directions to safeguard rooms and valuables.
